Frequently Asked Questions

You’ve got questions. Our landscape experts have answers.

Please submit a request through our website and we will be in contact to set up a date / time to discuss your project.

During your consultation, we will discuss the type of landscaping services you are looking for. After the consultation, we will send an estimate to you within two weeks.

The timeline for a landscaping project from consultation to completion can vary depending on the scope of the project, the size of the property, and other factors. However, here is a general idea of what to expect for a typical landscaping project timeline:

  1. Consultation and design phase: The initial consultation with us can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks to schedule, depending on the availability of both parties. During this phase, we will assess the property, discuss the client’s needs and preferences, and develop a design plan. The design phase can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the complexity of the project and the number of revisions needed.

  1. Material ordering: Once the design is finalized, we will need to select and order materials for the project. This can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on the availability of materials and suppliers.

  1. Installation phase: The installation phase of a landscaping project can vary in duration depending on the size and complexity of the project. A typical landscaping installation can take anywhere from a day to a few days to complete, with larger and more elaborate projects taking longer.

The best time to do landscaping largely depends on the specific services you are interested in.

Fall (September to November) is a great time for planting trees, shrubs and cool-season annuals. The somewhat “cooler” temps provide optimal conditions for new plants to establish roots before the heat of the summer.

Spring (March to May) is another ideal time for planting in Tampa Bay, as the weather is mild and plants have the entire growing season ahead of them to establish and thrive.

Winter (December to February) in Tampa Bay is mild, making it a decent time for planting trees and shrubs. We typically have less rainfall which can make it easier to control watering and ensure plants are not overwatered. Winter also brings cooler temps and less stress to plants. It is a good time for pruning and general maintenance of your landscape.

Summer (June to August) in Tampa Bay can be hot and humid, making it a time for more maintenance. Most plants will do just fine in the Summer. However, some may require more water and maintenance. This is a good time for maintaining your landscape, such as weekly mowing services and weed control.

Sod installation can happen year-round in Florida due to the warm climate.

Designing a landscape that can thrive in both Tampa Bay’s wet and dry seasons involves selecting plants that are well-adapted to the area’s climate.

Some ideas would include: Choosing drought-tolerant native plants, group plants with similar water needs, use mulch to retain moisture, and ensure an irrigation system is installed.

By incorporating these strategies, we can create a landscape that thrives year-round in Tampa Bay.
